Brunch sponsored by Gritz Cafe
We recognize that millions of children are suffering the consequences of their parents’ sentences. In 2011, approximately 59,000 of Nevada children have experience parental incarceration. Whether it’s jail for several nights or years in prison, the children feel the absence of that adult even if they weren’t living in the same home. Having an incarcerated parent may cause depression, anxiety and other mental illness, as well as an added financial burden on the other parent and/or relative caregivers. At I Care CDC, we see with our heart!
